Hankook was founded in 1941 as the Chosun Tyre Company and was the first automobile tyre company in Korea. However, it was not until the brand established research centres in the US, Germany and China in the 90s, and then formed a partnership with Audi a decade later that the rest of the world was truly introduced to the brand.
